Meet your Captain
Captain Jim was raised in a Navy family, igniting his love of the sea and adventure! He began fishing at a young age with his father, grandfathers and uncles. Captain Jim has had a fishing rod in his hand since he was small boy.
He has owned and operated boats since he was a young teenager. At age 20 years, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He served at USCG Station Miami Beach, the world’s busiest search and rescue and law enforcement station. He served on vessels ranging from 106’ and 95’ ships to 44’ speedboats, 41’ utility boats and fiberglass and rigid hull inflatables of varying lengths. He has four decades of experience navigating both inland and ocean waters from the eastern seaboard, extending out to the Bahamas, to the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and deeper into the waters surrounding the Virgin Islands to the Grenadines. After retiring from the Coast Guard, Captain Jim became a City of Boca Raton Police officer and served 17 years on the SWAT Team. Captain Jim retired from the police force in January of 2024. He is a USCG licensed Master Captain and is also certified to teach basic open water boat operating skills, having attained an instructor rating through the National Safe Boating Council. Captain Jim has spent a lifetime gathering the experience and skills needed to turn your fishing trip into a true adventure!

The Boat
Our beautiful ice blue over white Sportsman 262 open fisherman was designed from the hull up to provide you with the finest fishing and boating adventure of your dreams. The vessel is equipped with options and amenities, chosen personally by your Captain, that will enhance your fishing charter or cruise.
Our vessel is 26’ 6” long and is powered by twin 200 hp Yamaha engines. She is equipped with the latest in electronics, navigation, fish finding and safety equipment.
For fishability she is outfitted with outriggers, a powerful ocean trolling motor, auto pilot and a joystick control that will amaze you as they keep the craft in the zone and on the fish when the bite is hot!

As you cruise along the coast or to where the fish are, you will be surrounded by a spacious deck with plenty of room for you and your fellow passengers. The boat is equipped with the groundbreaking SeaKeeper Ride System. Sea Keeper Ride eliminates most pitch and roll while underway, making the ride as stable as possible. You will be surrounded by state-of-the-art amenities such as comfortable bow and rear seating, padded bolsters and a safety toe rail to provide you with comfort and stability as you fight your fish at the rail. Overhead there is an oversized T-top to provide shade from the sun. For early morning trips the entire interior is well lit. One of the highlights on our vessel are dual side entry doors to make boarding from the dock a breeze. Should you wish to enjoy music on your outing the boat is equipped with a state-of-the-art stereo sound system.

While washing down at the boat ramp courtesy dock after a busy day fishing, my customers noticed manatees gathering near my boat. They stuck around and inspected the boat as though they were impressed with the design! Sportsman 262 Open – Manatee Approved!

Favorite Feature
I own a 2024 Sportsman 262 Open. What a beautiful boat. I spent the last five or more years in my down time in my patrol car (just retired after almost 40 years in law enforcement) watching your models evolve. When your 262 hit the website I knew she would be the one for me. Designed from the strakes to the tip of the antenna to be a solid, well built, seaworthy boat. It’s comfortable as well as a fishing machine. The Seakeeper Ride system is a phenomenal addition!
The catch
When you fish with us, you can expect to catch a variety of species ranging from Wahoo, Mahi, Tuna, Cobia, Mutton Snapper, and of course, the fan favorite – Yellow Tail Snapper! A deep drop adventure will often yield Black Belly Rose Fish, Blue and Golden Tile Fish (excellent eating), Snowy Grouper and other deepwater species.
